Gadolinium Oxide Gd2O3 Sputtering Targets
Gadolinium oxide (Gd2O3) is a rare earth oxide. Properties such as high thermal and chemical stability, wide band gap and high
dielectric constant, make it as a candidate material for protective coating, optical coating and dielectric material in
CMOS device applications. As a result of its high transparency and higher index of refraction, Gd2O3 film has found
applications as UV coatings in multilayer devices. Also, Gd2O3 films are used as dielectric materials due to its
excellent electrical properties and as a dopant of the electrolytes in solid oxide fuel cells.
